Potential Hazard of Asbestos Network Used in Laboratory

Abstract SEM-EDS and XRD were used to characterize asbestos network and the results showed that the mass fraction of chrysotile in asbestos network was above 30%. Chrysotile is easy to spread into the air, therefore, the health of students and teachers are threatened by chrysotile, after it is inhaled. So asbestos networks utilization should be banned or at least be controlled, and safety regulations are also needed urgently.
