Application of Inquiry Learning in Teaching of Chemical Engineering Principles

Abstract This paper introduced the application of inquiry learning in teaching of chemical engineering principles with example of thermal conduction. Teachers proposed problems and students analyzed and initially solved these problems. Then teachers continued to extend the problems. Finally, teachers and students explored and summarized the study together. Results showed that inquiry learning could make students understand knowledge deeply and obtain good learning methods, and improve their ability to analyze and solve problems correspondingly during the inquiry learning process.
