Abstract Innovative education in physical chemistry teaching plays an important role of developing students' innovative consciousness and innovative abilities. This paper discussed the physical chemistry teaching mode for training innovative abilities combining with teaching reform and practice from six areas including enriching comprehensive and design experiments, strengthening the comprehensive training,using network teaching resources, emphasizing further questioning, setting alternative homework and improving experiment examination method.
