Abstract To explore the effect of different silver coordination compounds on silver mirror reaction, this paper used aqueous ammonia, ethylenediamine, potassium rhodanate, and methylamine as ligands, and used the stability constants of different silver coordination compounds to study the silver mirror reaction under different temperatures, compared the formation time of silver mirror and its quality. The results indicated that silver coordination compound with ethylenediamine as ligand had higher stability constant and stronger alkaline, and high quality silver mirror could form quickly at room temperature, thus it was suitable for classroom teaching of silver mirror reaction experiment.
