Abstract This paper introduced the construction of network teaching system for general chemistry experiment that paid more attention to the establishment of multi-media lab, selection and processing of experiment contents and construction of network teaching platform and data processing system. Teaching practice showed that network teaching had advantages including low work intensity, high work efficiency, distinct audiovisual demonstration, fair evaluation and expanded leaning space, all of which have extremely significance in improving the teaching mode of general chemical experiment.
