Abstract The effect of concentration on electrode potential could be made qualitative statements according to the chemical equilibrium principle. When the concentration of a substance (one of the redox pair, both of them, or the related ion) have changed, the Nernst equation and chemical equilibrium principle can get the same conclusion, but the latter is more simpler.
