Research-Oriented Experiment Design for Liquid-Phase Synthesis and Application of α-Fe2O3

Abstract A research-oriented experiment was designed on the basis of previous study. The experiment took the synthesis,characterization and the catalytic performance of α-Fe2O3 as the main line. With the guide of the teacher, students reviewed literature,designed experiment program, and tested products using many experimental technologies. By analysis of the experimental data and characterization results,the factors affecting success of the procedure were identified,and the optimum experimental schemes were reached. Finally, Students wrote experiment reports in the form of science paper and communicated with others through thesis defense. This experimental mode is helpful to cultivate talents with high quality.
