Abstract The scale of non-verbal teaching skills was developed based on literature analysis, questionnaires analysis and individual interviews. Non-Verbal Teaching Skills (NVTSs) were defined as blackboard writing skills, information technology skills, teaching behavior skills, management and organization skills, problem-solving skills, classroom observation skills, and demonstration experiment skills by Special Exploratory Factor Analysis. And the structure of NVTSs was supported by Confirmatory Factor Analysis as well. Moreover, this scale had good reliability and validity to measure chemistry teachers' NVTSs effectively.
