Abstract This paper used common water-rich vegetables such as tomatoes instead of wet cotton for the reaction of iron and water vapor. Through repeated experiments, this study found that the tomatoes provided water vapor continuously and steadily, and the improved experiment had obvious phenomena with simple device and better repeatability.
