Abstract This paper attempts to discuss the implementation of the flipped classroom teaching in experimental chemistry courses by means of the integration of the guided learning plan and problem based learning (PBL). To ensure the scientificity and effectiveness of the current flipped classroom practice, a questionnaire survey was conducted. Results showed that the flipped classroom teaching based on the guided learning plan and PBL worked well in developing students' active learning ability, as well as in building an integrated system of three dimensions:knowledge and skills, process and methods and the emotional attitude of experiment. It should be stressed that the teaching reform is effective in improving the teaching quality.
