Abstract Based on the theory of constructivism, student-centered teaching mode of chemical engineering specialty was established. Aimed to cultivate outstanding chemical professionals, the theoretical architecture and teaching design were constructed from the aspects of curriculum construction, situational construction, teaching team, teaching evaluation and supporting system, etc. Through teaching practice, it is proved that this kind of teaching mode can stimulate the students' interests in learning and improve the students' learning result.
