Abstract The chemical reactions at high temperature and pressure concern the reliability of the equipment, the performance of the reactor, and the safety and durability of the nuclear power plant. However, there are many difficulties in conducting such experiments. With the help of PHREEQC program and the most recent thermodynamic database, the reaction models of H3BO3-LiOH ratio used and the precipitation of corrosion products generated in the primary circuit,as well as the pH control in the secondary circuit were established. The chemical simulations not only can help the students understand the relevant knowledge and enrich modern teaching methodology, but can be reference used for the training in the nuclear power enterprise.
