Abstract This paper introduced an integrated experiment, preparation of magnetic metal organic framework and application to the adsorption of lead. Fe3O4 was firstly prepared, then amino groups were introduced to prepare the magnetic metal organic framework adsorbent. The adsorption of lead by the magnetic adsorbent was investigated coupled with flame atomic absorption spectroscopy. The present experiment covers adsorption kinetics in physical chemistry and flame atomic absorption spectroscopy in instrumental analysis, which can benefit students to learn such knowledge.
