Abstract The patterns of internationalization of postgraduate education reform of chemical postgraduate education of Qingdao University's material discipline has been taken as a case study, and the effective strategies of internationalization of postgraduate education in chemistry was put forward out including two aspects, the large scale of talent flowing, and the internationalization of platform construction. Based on the domestic and international industry-researching institute-university educational cooperation and collaborative training platforms, a practical training platform, which is the in-depth integration and collaborative education of all-round industry, science and education at home and abroad, has built. A dynamic and virtuous knowledge industrial chain circulation, named "platform construction-discipline construction-talent cultivation-feedback improvement", has formed, feedback-management-evaluation organism in the industry-researching institute-university educational cooperation has been realized in the educational process of chemical postgraduate student, and it should be a popularized internationalizing reform model of chemical postgraduate education in the provincial institutions of higher learning throughout the country.
