Abstract This study is based on the articles from the column of the History of Chemistry and Chemical History Education in Chinese Journal of Chemical Education from 2007 to 2016. We made statistical analysis in three major areas:the content and the amount of papers, the authors, and the citation situation. From three aspects, we analyzed the trend and the weakness of study of the chemistry history education. Furthermore, we provided some suggestions.
