Abstract Up to date, the two-dimensional code technology has been very mature. Access to Internet is also very common by scanning the two-dimensional code with mobile phones. According to the characteristics of experimental teaching of chemistry in universities, the present study focuses on the way, problem, and prospect of application of two-dimensional code technology to experimental teaching and laboratory management combining with existing circumstances of chemical laboratories. The results showed that it was feasible for two-dimensional code technology to be used in experimental teaching and laboratory management. The two-dimensional code technology can not only be used to realize the synchronous teaching of classroom teaching and network teaching, but also enhance the learning effect of autonomic learning. In the meanwhile, as an auxiliary means, it can not only improve the work efficiency of the laboratory staff, but also improve the management level of instruments, equipments, and experimental materials.
