Abstract The determination of the solubility product of lead iodide by ion exchange method is an important experiment in inorganic foundation course. This experiment usually takes a long time, and the reagent consumption is relatively high. This paper is devoted to the exploration of the experimental process, including the optimization of the packing method, changing the amount and concentration of HNO3, changing the volume of saturated lead iodide solution and the flow rate of Pb2+ exchanged with cationic resin. The experimental results show that the results obtained in this paper have a relatively accurate solubility product, and the amount of experimental reagent is reduced, the experimental time is also shortened.
