Abstract Based on the analysis of the real situation material, the theme of practical activity is extracted, and the chemical integrative practical activities is designed around the problem of "whether the copper smelting plant can pollute the environment". Through learning the related knowledge of copper, students are guided to analyze the causes of pollution, understand the treatment methods of "three wastes", and this can cultivate students' awareness of environmental protection. By introducing the process of copper smelting, the students can understand the complexity of the actual production process and this can cultivate the students' engineering consciousness. Through the professional experience of role-playing, students can understand the importance of learning chemistry and this can cultivate students' awareness of participation and decision-making ability.
