Abstract A supported nano-composite catalyst MoS2/MIL-101(Fe) was prepared by solvothermal method. The structure and morphology of the catalysts were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectra, scanning electronic microscopy and Fourier transform infrared. Then its photocatalytic degradation efficiency on ibuprofen and photocatalytic products were analyzed. The concentration of ibuprofen before and after photocatalytic degradation was quantitatively analyzed by HPLC and its photocatalytic products were qualitatively analyzed by LC-MS. In this experiment, we combined the method of preparing composite catalyst with a variety of instrumental analysis methods, to allow students to understand the material preparation methods and its application. At the same time, we enable student to learn how to use these analysis and test instruments.
