Abstract “Making Easy Fuel Cells” was listed as a compulsory experiment in the General High School Chemistry Curriculum Standards (2017 edition). Because the experimental phenomena were not obvious, this paper used the pencil lead as electrode and used the sponge immersed in sodium sulfate solution to replace the traditional electrolyte. The improved hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell had high current and stable voltage, and long diode luminescence time.
