Abstract Chemical equilibrium is the key and difficult point of senior high school chemistry teaching. This paper took 39 masters' theses in China from 2005-2015 as the research object, analyzed the teaching research status of “chemical equilibrium”. The results showed that there were four main research hotspots:the misconceptions related to chemical equilibrium, the causes of learning difficulties, the teaching strategies and teaching suggestions. Research methods and research orientation showed diversified trends.
