Abstract Based on the theory of stage education, this paper summarized the links and differences between the contents of high school chemistry and university inorganic chemistry through the study of freshmen in the university, investigated the difficulties in inorganic chemistry, grasped the relationship between teaching and learning, and focused on student development, combined with the actual teaching situation to explore the effective educational connection between high school chemistry and university inorganic chemistry. Moreover, provided evidences and suggestions for the teaching of inorganic chemistry teachers in universities.
