Abstract A series of experimental teaching was designedbased on controlled radical polymerization, including monomer and initiator purification, RAFT reagent synthesis, RAFT and ATRP polymerization of different monomers, RAFT polymerization to prepare block polymers, ATRP preparation of block polymers and so on. These experiments are interlocking and mutually supportive, and have obvious comparative effect. This attempt effectively improves and expands the free radical polymerization part of conventional polymer synthesis course, effectively stimulates the initiative of students, and improves their ability to analyze and solve problems.
