Abstract Taking Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai, as an example, with an overview of the reform and measures of the applied chemical engineering education system in the new engineering background, this paper aims to construct a new system based on the analysis of the following four aspects: optimization of education objectives and teaching management system, quality control of teaching process, reform of curriculum structure, and reform of talent cultivation model. It also emphasizes the management of full credit system and the certification of IEET for the improvement of teaching quality and the construction of the teaching model of application-oriented talents, and proposes specific reform measures in the hope of providing reference for its counterparts.
