Titration curve is an important part of titration analysis principle. It shows the change of the nature of the equilibrium system in the process of titration,and the information of the stoichiometric point and the titration jump can be obtained, so as to guide the accurate titration and indicator selection. The titration curve equation is the relationship between the certain nature X (e.g. pH) of the system and the titration fraction a (or the titrant volume V)in the titration process, and after analyzing the equation the expression of the function X=f(a) can be obtained. For some complex systems, it is difficult to deduce the function X=f(a), but in most cases the inverse function a=g(X) is easier to deduce and the expression is more concise. In this paper, the equations of acid-base, coordination, redox and precipitation titration curves are systematically summarized, and the function X=f(a) or inverse function a=g(X) under different conditions are deduced, which expands the content of the textbook. According to the function, the titration curve can be directly plotted with Origin by function plotting, which is convenient and fast without producing the data points. The high-precision titration curve can be obtained by adding data points when plotting with the inverse function, and the information of the stoichiometric point and the titration jump can be found directly from the titration curve.

By optimizing the teaching design of atomic structure for inorganic chemistry, the blended teaching mode of “333” was organically integrated, and a series of analogy models of atomic structure were established. Through the comparison and questionnaire survey for the reform, it shows that the students’ initiative, enthusiasm and participation have been significantly improved, and the teaching reform has achieved the desired results. The results shown that the analogical thinking in the classroom is an effective way to help students understand deep concepts and theories.

This comprehensive experiment is recommended for the synthesis, structure and magnetic properties of Fe/Fe3O4 magnetic materials. The main purpose of this experiment is introduced the research of magnetic materials, which are the synthesis, structure characterization and magnetic properties. Students can master the basic principle and operation of some large-scale instruments, the method of material synthesis, the characterization of structure, and magnetic properties of materials. While mastering the basic theory and the basic experimental skills, the students should be cultivated the experimental ability and creative consciousness, especially their ability to use knowledge comprehensively. The distance between teaching and scientific research is shortened.

In order to improve the accuracy of measuring the cross-sectional area of lower straight-chain alcohol molecular in teaching experiments, by using the maximum bubble method and Szyszkowski formula as the fitting equation, the molecular cross-sectional area of various lower straight-chain alcohols in four concentration ranges were systematically investigated, and it was determined that the ranges of different concentration were suitable for the determination of the various molecular alcohol cross-sectional area by this method in this study. Furthermore, it was discussed that there was intrinsic relationship among the length of carbon chain, the concentration and the adsorption behavior on the surface of the alcohol molecule.

The paper described an instructional design of deprotection of amino group through open experimental design. The students were encouraged to design and carry out the orthogonal experiments of acetanilide hydrolysis under acidic or basic conditions in groups, using recycled acetanilide as the starting material to prepare aniline as the product. The optimal condition and procedure of the experiments were confirmed by comparing the yields of the hydrolysis under different conditions. The results of the experiments conducted by students in the past 3 years were summarized and analyzed, and the repeatability of the results was investigated by verification experiments.

To meet the requirement of trace solid powder samples tested by fluorescence spectrometry, some process parameters of the thin-layer sample preparation were optimized including the type of binder, the amount of binder, the coating thickness and the post-treatment method. The results show that the thin-layer sample prepared with polyvinyl alcohol as binder, a solid-liquid ratio of 1∶5, drying at 50 ℃ for 30 minutes and coating times of 3 layers can meet the test requirements. The analysis results of student’s t-test show that, even if the amount of thin-layer sample is reduced by 90% compared with the solid sample cell, there is no significant difference between the their results.

A comprehensive experiment including preparation of nickel hydroxide film and evaluation on electrocatalytic activity in oxygen evolution reaction was established in this paper. Through the experiment, students can (1) learn the technology of preparing electrocatalyst films by electrochemical deposition method; (2) preliminarily grasp the activity-evaluation method of electrocatalysts used in oxygen evolution reactions by electrochemical techniques such as cyclic voltammetry and Tafel curve; (3) recognize the objective fact that trace amounts of impurity elements (iron) may have a significant effect on the material properties (electrocatalytic activity). This experiment will guide students to pay attention to the development and application of green renewable energy, which is conducive to the cultivation of students' chemical application ability.

A comprehensive experiment of physical chemistry was introduced to measure and calculate the vapor-liquid equilibrium and chemical kinetics of the sodium lysine-CO2 system, which is related to two chapters, phase equilibrium and chemical kinetics, in the course of physical chemistry. L-Lysine, sodium hydroxide, and CO2 were used in this experiment, including the operations of reagent preparing, gas absorption, and data acquisition. Phaseequilibriumparameters (temperature, pressure, and solubility) and chemical kinetics properties (apparent rate constant) were calculated and analyzed, to improve the operation ability of students, enhance their understanding of the course knowledge, and inspire their exploration on scientific research.

The experiment of preparing electrostatic multiwalled carbon nanotube(MWCNTs)/polyvinyl alcohol composite fiber was designed. The experiment studied the influence of spinning concentration, spinning voltage, receiving distance, receiving area, modification and addition amount of MWCNTs on the composite fiber morphology, tested and analyzed the infrared spectrum and scanning electron microscopy, and obtained optimized electrospinning process for the preparation of MWCNTs/polyvinyl alcohol composite fiber by electrostatic spinning. The experiment is easy to operate in groups and involves the modification, preparation, morphology characterization and result analysis of polymer materials, which is helpful for students to consolidate theoretical knowledge, improve practical ability and comprehensive application ability.

Based on the Discovery Studio (DS) software, which has high-quality visualization of molecular three-dimensional structure and reliable simulation results of molecular docking, the molecular docking experiment between captopril and angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) was designed for undergraduate teaching. The forming principle of metal complex color is a major difficulty in inorganic chemistry teaching at present. Based on the deep learning theory and taking nickel chloride hexahydrate as an example, a teaching software of metal complex color developing principle is developed in this paper. This software introduces the teaching with macroscopic problems, creates the inquiry situation, shows the structure of metal complexes, the reason of d-orbital splitting, and the principle of color rendering of metal complexes. The software can help students to recognize the color rendering principle from the structure of metal complexes, expand their horizons, and achieve the goal of deep learning.

Based on the research model of practical knowledge level, a self-designed questionnaire was implemented to investigate the levels and influence factors of practial knowledge of 271students in chemistry major in Hebei Province. The study found that the current level of practical knowledge of normal university students in chemistry major is at the intermediate level. There is a certain correlation among the five dimensions of practical knowledge, restricting and influencing mutually. Accumulation of teaching experience, pre-university learning experience, their beloved teachers, observation of the quality courses, analysis of teaching case, skills training by micro-teaching are the main factors that affect the practical knowledge of normal students in chemistry major.

In this paper, the pH of several common weak acid HA and weak base B- mixed solutions were calculated, and their buffering capacity was analyzed. The results show that the HA-B- solution has a certain buffer capacity. When the KHA/KHB is close to 1, there are mainly two buffer pairs of HA-A- and HB-B-. When KHA/KHB is greater than 1 000, there is only HA-A- buffer pair.

Taking Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai, as an example, with an overview of the reform and measures of the applied chemical engineering education system in the new engineering background, this paper aims to construct a new system based on the analysis of the following four aspects: optimization of education objectives and teaching management system, quality control of teaching process, reform of curriculum structure, and reform of talent cultivation model. Alcohol dehydration, as an important approach to alkene preparation, is widely applied in the laboratory and industry nowadays. This paper introduces a new experimental design for cyclohexene production through cyclohexanol dehydration in acidic environment. The equilibrium is pushed forward through distillation of low-boiling-point azeotrope formed by cyclohexene and water, which simplifies purification process and makes the whole protocol easier, and further avoids the use of Dean-Stark trap and dehydrant. This design has been broadly adopted in undergrad chemistry courses abroad, and is worthy to be treated as a valuable reference for experimental design in organic chemistry education in China.
