Abstract Based on the characteristics of environmental chemistry and the new requirements of talent cultivation in the contemporary era, this paper presented a primary research on how to apply the online-offline teaching model of the rain classroom in the teaching reform of environmental chemistry courses. The practice showed that the teaching mode can improve the students' interests and autonomy in learning, improve the students' ability to analyze and solve problem, promote the interactive communication between teachers and students both in class and out of class, and fully embody the subject status of students in the process of teaching.
