Abstract From the Mendeleev’s periodic table to modern periodic law of elements, people’s attention has been shifted from the macro consideration of the similarity of chemical properties of elements to the microscopic analysis of the periodic variation of atomic electron configuration. This paper mainly carries out a research on the emergence, development and function of Aufbau principle of electron arrangement outside the nucleus, and attempts to explore the microscopic nature of the periodic law of elements through understanding of chemistry discipline.
