Abstract Based on collected and analyzed of more than 110 chemical learning Apps and combined characteristics of chemistry and students’ learning situations at different stages, this paper divided the chemistry mobile Apps into three categories: namely, educational entertainment, teaching aids, and chemistry Apps, and introduced typical mobile Apps for chemistry teachers and students. Finally, the prospects and challenges of the application of mobile Apps in chemistry teaching were discussed.
