Abstract Experimental teaching ability is an important sign of professional development of chemistry teachers. The course, middle school chemical experiment teaching skill training is a required comprehensive experimental teachings training course forpre-service tearchersmajoring in chemistry, which plays an important role in the training ofpre-service tearchers’ experiment teaching skill majoring in chemistry. This study investigates and analyzes the overall evaluation, study attitude, teaching and evaluation methods, learning difficulties and other aspects of the course. In view of the problems, the paper puts forward teaching suggestions such as coordinating course setting, defining course value, establishing learning community and enhancing experimental thinking training.
