Abstract This paper takes a proposition of scientific inquiry as an example to study scientific inquiry from the aspects of research and development of proposition, students' practice, feedback of students' problems and improvement of teaching strategies. Through experiencing the process of proposition, this paper analyses the results of students' test questions, finds out the root of students' puzzlement, finds corresponding teaching improvement strategies, and helps students improve their ability of scientific inquiry.
