Abstract The first year of college is an important period for undergraduates to transform their learning environment and learning methods from high school to university, and it is also a critical period for them to establish good moral character. Inorganic chemistry is the first professional basic course for chemical engineering undergraduates in the university. By properly integrating patriotism education, green chemistry concepts, and scientific spirit into theoretical and experimental classes, students can establish a positive view of world, philosophy and values, and cultivate their professional recognition and correct professional ethics so that students can improve their overall quality and innovative thinking while mastering professional knowledge.
