Abstract Based on chemical English points, college students' cognition and empathy for the traditional Chinese culture can be activated with the implementation of the positive transfer of mother tongue in etymology, common professional knowledge and discipline core literacy. Thus, the organic integration of knowledge, ability and value can be achieved while establishing cultural confidence and inheriting excellent cultural values. And thus, the unity of instrumentality and humanism in professional language teaching process can be realized.
