Abstract Taking the recrystallization of acetanilide as an example, we introduce thought experiment into students' preview. By discussing the progressive problems designed in flipped class, we guide students to use materialist dialectics to carry out thought experiment and help them to think thoroughly before they do. Hence students might avoid common mistakes when they practice. These teaching efforts achieve positive results.
