Abstract Based on the characteristics and practice of backward design in teaching, this paper analyzes the problem of disconnection between actual and expected evaluation in the classroom implementation of traditional backward design, and expounds the importance of feedback. Thus, a new method of backward design with emphasis on feedback is proposed. This method fully combines evaluation and feedback strategies into the process of backward design, effectively correlates the two factors, and solves the above problem. Combined with the author's practical experience in mass spectrometry teaching, the corresponding design process is exemplified.
