Abstract Based on the analysis of some problems existing in analytical chemistry course, this paper studies on the teaching reform of quality assurance and quality control in analytical chemistry under the background of “new subject”, and puts forward the suggestion that the “quality assurance and quality control in analytical chemistry” course or other similar coursesis essentialto students majoringin analytical chemistry. In order to adapt to the development of “new subject”, the teaching of analytical chemistrycourseshould focus on the entire process of analysis, and the theory content of quality assurance should be incorporated into the analysis.Problem identification and problem solvingabilities should be developed by the application of quality assurance and quality control, therefore, great attention must be paid to link theory with practice. In addition, the focus of analytical chemistry is “analysis”, which should maintain close contact with analytical laboratories/testing institutions. Apart from this, education-oriented activities towards marketing and technology should be established, so as to achieve education objectives and train analytical talents that keeping pace with the times.
