Abstract Chemistry is typically an experimental science. Laboratory safety is an important part of discipline construction and the fundamental requirement of teaching and scientific research activities. This paper introduces the specific measures adopted in chemical experiment teaching and research platform from the aspects of institution system, training system, service system and cultural system by aiming at improving laboratory management of College of Chemistry at Jilin University. It also explores the laboratory safety and management mode suitable for the actual needs of development, so as to support for the discipline construction and talent cultivation of chemistry.
