Abstract This article discusses the application of questions-oriented teaching mode in organic synthesis course. Taking the typical questions that often appear in thin-layer chromatography analysis as a start, using the theory as the guidance, and combining a heuristic process with discussion and other teaching methods, the classroom teaching effect is improved. Practice has shown that adopting questions-oriented teaching mode and setting up gradual in-depth questions in teaching can stimulate students' interests and enthusiasm, and provide certain ideas for the course design of organic synthesis.
