Abstract Type education is characterized by standard construction and is the basic work of a new round of vocational education reform. Based on the “Chemistry Curriculum Standards for Secondary Vocational Schools”, the chemistry textbook organized and published by the Higher Education Press, fosters virtue through education and pays attention to cultivating students' core chemistry literacy. This paper comprehensively introduces the background, writing principles, structure, and characteristics of textbooks, aiming to guide teachers in secondary vocational schools to implement the chemistry curriculum standards, implement chemistry curriculum reforms with modern vocational education concepts, and improve the quality and effectiveness of chemistry curriculum teaching.
