Abstract Thematic Project-Based Learning (TPBL) in chemistry is a way of learning in which students are inspired by their previous project experiences to explore real and intrinsically linked driven tasks in a thematic context. The projects in TPBL are not independent, but are interlinked and integrated into a thematic context. The “similarities” between projects provide opportunities for students to transfer and apply knowledge, while the “differences” force students to think critically about the scope of their knowledge. The constant interaction between old and new items links the learning journey of students, allowing for continuous growth of experience and cognitive development.
