Abstract Organophosphine catalysis is an environmentally friendly organic synthesis method with mild reaction conditions, which has been widely used in the field of organic synthesis. Among them, cyclization and cycloaddition reactions catalyzed by nucleophilic organophosphines have gradually developed into one of the important tools for the construction of carbocyclic and heterocyclic compounds and natural products. This paper introduces the methodology of organophosphine-catalyzed cyclization and cycloaddition reactions, and the application research progress of organophosphine-catalyzed annulation reactions in the total synthesis of natural products in recent years.
