Abstract The importance and teaching status quo of chemistry teaching theory experiment, as well as the advantages and functions of self-made micro video in teaching are reported. Based on the learning pyramid theory and cooperative learning theory, this paper expounds the process of integrating self-made micro video into chemistry teaching theory experiment teaching and analyzes the actual teaching situation. Focusing on exploring the teaching expansionary effects of self-made micro-video on chemistry teaching theory experiment in colleges and universities, experimental teaching is carried out by training students to make self-made micro videos, and thus information technology is integrated with experimental teaching, which cultivate pre-service teachers’ experimental skills, teaching practice ability and information technology application ability.
