Abstract According to the course content and students' learning situation, the analytical chemistry course team of the College of Chemistry & Materials Science of Northwest University has added course tutorials, aiming at cultivating students' ability of independent learning, scientific thinking innovation and independent problem solving. This paper introduces the author's experience in introducing “multi-method” teaching mode in teaching tutorials, and expounds on three aspects: “extending vision, stimulating interest”, “discussing cooperation, promoting communication”, “active thinking, induction and summary”. The application of this teaching mode can provide reference for the classroom teaching of chemistry major, and help to cultivate students' learning initiative, thinking ability and innovation ability.
