Abstract In this article, flipped classroom teaching mode is integrated into the ideological and political cultivation of chemistry major courses in universities. Taking Instrumental Analysis which is the core course of applied chemistry majors as an example, the system of “chemistry major course → ideological and political education → flipped classroom” is constructed. Thus, the ideological and political education of chemistry major courses in universities could be more profound, three-dimensional and systematic. It aims to provide a new thinking direction for exploring how to integrate ideological and political education into university science courses.
