Abstract Chemistry teachers' experimental teaching literacy consists of experimental teaching knowledge, experimental teaching ability, experimental classroom management ability and experimental teaching consciousness. Through a questionnaire survey, 120 chemistry normal college students in Heilongjiang Province were taken as samples, and the experimental teaching literacy level was measured. The results show that chemistry normal college students are too optimistic about their own knowledge, and their practical level needs to be strengthened. Accordingly, relevant suggestions are put forward to cultivate the experimental teaching literacy of chemistry normal college students.
