Abstract This paper analyzes the New South Wales High School Chemistry Syllabus (2017 Edition) from the aspects of curriculum syllabus framework, curriculum objectives, content, implementation and evaluation. The result shows that the curriculum syllabus and our country's high school chemistry curriculum standards are consistent in the cultivation of core competence and the expression of curriculum content standards, but they are enlightening to optimize our chemistry curriculum standards in terms of interdisciplinary curriculum design, learning process evaluation, and the development of supporting resources for curriculum standards.
