Abstract A simple and efficient miniature pressurized filtration device was designed using a glass dropper, skimmed cotton and an earwash ball. The filtration effect was analyzed by DLS test and Vernier manometer, finding that the device not only had fast filtration speed, but also realized small and narrow particle size distribution in the filtrate. Two applications of the micro device are also provided: accelerating the acquisition of the “upper clear liquor” and realizing the micro experiment of precipitation transformation.
