Abstract ChatGPT is introduced into the material simulation and design classroom. By using the features of ChatGPT, such as convenient operation and high performance, high-level classroom teaching is realized through teaching reform. ChatGPT is used for assisting both theoretical knowledge teaching and software practical operation to realize efficient learning and application of material simulation, cultivate students' learning ability, improve students' interest in computational materials science, and let students understand computer technology as a learning and scientific research tool.
