Abstract The setting of the college entrance examination should focus on the rigor, necessity and sufficiency of the situation, which should not make students confused. This article takes the college entrance examination questions as example, analyzes the match between the unfamiliar situation created by the test questions and the utilization of chemical models from candidates' perspective. Finally, this test question is revised.
