Abstract Based on textbooks and literature researching, innovative experiments on chlorine preparation and properties of bleaching, acidity, oxidation, and exhaust gas absorption were proposed. This protocol solves the problems of large amount of chlorine usage, easy leakage, inconvenient operation, and experimental time-consuming during teaching textbook experiments. The improved experimental device not only can be easier to operate, with controllable rate, obvious phenomenon, and has little environmental pollution, thus presents the spirit of green environmental protection.
