Abstract This paper takes the self-heating bag in self-heating food as a real problem situation, proposes the exploratory question: What are the functions of each component in the self-heating bag? Using scientific exploration methods to make theoretical predictions from the perspective of material changes and energy changes. Based on the variable control method, an experimental plan is designed. Various information and digital technologies are employed to conduct exploratory experiments, collect experimental data, and carry out analysis and discussion. After verifying through literature review, the final conclusions are drawn. This deepens students’ understanding of reaction heat and its application and regulation, enhances their interest in chemical inquiry experiments, and helps them appreciate the positive significance of information and digital technologies in solving chemical problems, thereby fostering the development of multiple core competencies.
